WHAT IS SFBT?

Solution-focused therapy is EXACTLY what it sounds like,focusing on finding solutions.  If you are struggling with a big problem or just simply noticing proble after problem after problem, it is likely that you can't see the forest for the trees.

Evre felt like everything in your life is going wrong? It's all just one problem after another? Maybe you feel like you just can't do anything right? You are likely stuck in problem-focused tunned vision. Things can get better, but we have to get you to focus on the solutions more than the problem(s).

HOW WE CAN USE SFBT

SFBT is a theory I resonate with and find particularly useful for clients in"crisis mode." I am well-versed on SFBT and have used this treatment modality for years (7 to be exact).

I will first need to understand the probelm, but we will talk about it in all its negativity glory for about one session. Then, we will shift our focus to how to solve it. How would things be different for you if this problem didn't exist? What kind of freeing feelings would you have? From there, we begin to find the solution.

We will highlight your strenghts and the things you are doing well--rather than your current mindset that is stuck on all the problem areas. You are more than your perceived faults. We need to get you to see that again.
